UPDATED SERVICE PRICING EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 2008
This notice is to inform our customers of changes to our pricing for instrument service. These new prices will be effective December 1, 2008 and will apply to any instrumentation, not covered by a warranty plan, returned to Idaho Technology for service after this date.
All instruments returned to Idaho Technology for service and routine maintenance require a significant amount of initial screening to determine the appropriate steps for repair. This initial review requires several hours of labor and often chemistry and other laboratory supplies. In evaluation of our routine maintenance procedure, we have discovered that the time and materials required to satisfactorily assess an instrument for service have increased over the past several years. This fee will include a preventative maintenance check-up, calibration, burn-in and QC by our production and chemistry groups. Additionally, return freight by UPS ground within the continental United States will be covered Often repairs are required and worn or damaged parts are replaced during the preventative maintenance check-up to ensure the instrument will pass our final calibration and QC tests. The parts and labor required to perform these repairs will be billed in addition to the calibration and QC service fee and will be quoted at the time of notification.
Instruments that are covered under Idaho Technology Limited and Extended Warranty are not subject to these charges as the warranty covers a once yearly routine maintenance check and parts and labor for any required service.
