Warfarin is the most widely prescribed oral anticoagulant for thromboembolic therapy in North America and Europe. The combination of CYP2C9*2, CYP2C9*3 and VKORC1 genotypes has proved to be effective at helping to determine the appropriate doses of Warfarin.*
